Breguet - Reine de Naples paying tribute to the Art of Ballet and Russia

Breguet - Reine de Naples

Breguet unveils its latest addition to the Reine de Naples line, a creation that pays tribute to the art of ballet and to Russia. The Maison features three ballerinas made using a process that is dear to it, the size of the cameo. This high-relief engraving technique consists of working the different layers of a sea shell until obtaining a sculpture of exceptional finesse.

The history of Maison Breguet has always been closely linked to Russia. Abraham-Louis Breguet was the supplier of many royal families, high military dignitaries and diplomats. Thus, in Russia, Tsar Alexander I, a great watchmaker, had a predilection for Breguet timepieces and shared this passion with those around him. Archival material has revealed that for over a century the Romanovs and many prominent Russian families have been clients of the House.

For the new Reine de Naples model, Breguet has chosen the theme of classical ballets, one of the main artistic symbols of Russia. More than national pride and a calling card of Russian art, ballets and their more than 300-year-old history have become an integral part of Russia.

This exclusive creation is produced in only 5 copies especially for Russia.
