Perrelet - Turbine Poker Royal Flush

Multiple iterations of Turbine Poker have always met with immediate success. For 2024, Perrelet is offering a new edition dedicated to green table enthusiasts: the “Turbine Poker Royal Flush”, in a limited series of 99.

And it once again demonstrates the never-ending imagination and the courage to dare with unconventional style of the Manufacture founded in 1777, capable of creating ever-changing themes for the sub-dial of the Turbine collections.

Patented in 2009, the Turbine technology, from which the collection takes its name, is clearly inspired by aircraft and marine propulsion systems. The spinning turbine consists of 12 black anodised aluminum blades with five counterweights made of a heavy metal, tungsten, which are fixed underneath. The specific construction allows the blades to come into action at the slightest movement of the wrist and to return to their resting position when the gesture is completed, with a pleasantly playful effect.

Despite its purely decorative value, the assembly of this device requires perfectly balanced and calibrated components to function smoothly. The perpetual, hypnotic rotation of the turbine, the essence of the collection and a Perrelet icon over the years, comes to life on the dial thanks to the  excellent skills of the brand's watchmakers.

Like every model in the family, the Turbine Poker Royal Flush's spinning turbine reveals the motif depicted on the lower dial: the faster the rotation, the clearer the illustration on the sub-dial.

In this latest creation from the Maison, there are 12 cards to admire: a double royal flush with a pair of sevens. Like an expert dealer, Perrelet dealt the cards by selecting diamonds and clubs, complementary suits to the previous Turbine Poker edition: an incredible hand of double aces, kings, queens, jacks, 10s and 7s, red and black. Further references to the cards are visible on the characteristic hour track: the symbols of the four suits and figures stand out in red and white on a black background, alternating with luminescent Arabic numerals and indices.

The “Turbine Poker Royal Flush” features a 44 mm case with a central body in polycarbonate and carbon fiber decorated with its distinctive grooves. The flat, smooth bezel and case back are in matt black PVD stainless steel.  The crown is personalised by the letter P of the logo.

Water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, the watch is suitable for everyday use, withstanding wet conditions and splashes.

The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal glass with double anti-reflective treatment , which is also mounted on the rear of the watch.

The timepiece is equipped with the in-house automatic P-331-MH calibre, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and providing a 42-hour power reserve.

It is manufactured by Soprod, a company belonging to Miguel Rodriguez, also the owner and president of Perrelet, which is part of a watchmaking pole comprising no less than six facilities capable of producing their own calibres in complete autonomy.

Extremely reliable, the P-331-MH calibre boasts two different chronometry certifications issued by two prestigious independent institutions: the first having successfully passed the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) tests, the second was obtained by Chronofiable®. The finishes are also impeccable: the snailed mainplate, the circular-grained bridges, the openworked, rhodium-plated and brushed oscillating weight, bearing the Perrelet logo.

The "Turbine Poker Royal Flush" is completed  with a black leather strap with alligator pattern lined with rubber and fastened to the wrist with a personalized folding clasp.

Delivered in a special "tactical box", it includes a second black rubber strap for more casual looks and a fastening tool for self-replacement.
